The first The Silence That Words Come From poetry and creative writing course is underway, with two groups taking place on a Wednesday morning and a Thursday evening respectively. Each time I sit down with a new group, I am reminded of the magic of writing together in silence. As pens run across pages, I can feel that sense of quiet otherness in the air, and sometimes I can even taste it.
“lips hold music
tongues hold water
pencil scratches sing itches into pages,
through the window,
a sunlight-trampled walkway
waits to hear these words.” – t.s
